The Worst Power Outage In My Life (so far)

Ok, the title may be a hyperbole, but it was still not pleasant. Living in North Carolina, it gets hot and humid in the summer. When you don't have ac, it's just plain miserable. The power went out at around 5 last night because of a storm that knocked a tree down a few houses down from me. It didn't come on until 8:45 the next morning. The power company couldn't get their machines into the neighbor's yard, so it took longer than it should have. But, not only did I have to sleep without covers because I was sweating like crazy, I also had to have candles and a flashlight on. I get very clausterphobic in the dark, so much that I can't breathe, so I have to have light or else I panic and can't sleep. But, I was safe and used tealights, which only last for a couple hours, and they were enclosed in holders near nothing flamable. My aunt's cat also kept me company. Somehow I made it through the night. It was hard and I didn't get much sleep, but we have power now and that's all that matters.
